What I learnt as a feminist: Chapter 36
When womxn say “my body is not a political playground,” what they’re really saying is what they do with their bodies shouldn’t be up for debate. Just like governments and its citizens don’t decide what a man does with his body, no one should have a say in what women do with theirs either. Whether that’s related to their period, abortions, birth control, sexual desires, their bodies, or their nipples—everything seems to be up for debate and be voted for/against. Our bodies are not a playground for politics
